| Warm Boot |
Resetting or restarting to computer that is already on without turning off the power. It restarts the computer without going through the entire POST. This is accomplished by pushing CTRL+ALT+DEL, using restart on the shut down menu, or pushing the restart button on the front of the computer. |

| Write Precompensation |
In older hard drives, there were the same number of sectors near the center of the platter or disk expert there was in the outer tracks. To get the same number of bits in each sector, the bits had to be please closer together in the center tracks. One method devised to solve this problem was to was uncreating the speed that the read/write heads wrote to the disk ace they got closer to the center tracks. This was called Write Precompensation. Another method was called Reduced Write Current. |
